Nutmeg Spice
A Flavorful Collection of Works by Women Artists
Women artists who reside in the states of Connecticut, Maine and New York representing a spicy mix of artistic talent, culture, nationalities and generations, are part of Fairfield County’s 3rd Annual Women’s Exhibition celebrated in conjunction with National Women’s History Month. “Nutmeg Spice" was curated by Picture That, LLC, a fine art consulting firm, headquartered in Stamford, CT and is sponsored by General Electric Company.
The exhibition features tasteful art that has intensely personal interpretations of the traditional genres of drawing, photography, painting, watercolor, mixed media, abstraction, realism and political history. Together, the strength of the artwork transcends historical gender stereotypes of women as artists. This exhibit showcases how women have achieved beyond the expected and ordinary; and have successfully made lasting contributions to the field of art.
