Vivid Reflections: Nostalgic Rendering

It is with great pleasure that we present "Vivid Reflections: Nostalgic Renderings" in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The pieces featured in this exhibition creatively interweave the beautifully graphic heritage of both Eastern and Western art. All of the artists in the show took the traditional training of their home country and applied it to new contexts, ideas, and mediums. Using sumi-e watercolor, imperial court silhouettes, and spiritual calligraphy in their mixed media works, all of the artists manage to create richly nostalgic testaments to their past in China, Hong Kong, and India. About GE's Asian Pacific American Forum

The APAF affinity group started as a grassroots organization in 1998 in Schenectady, NY with an inaugural meeting attended by 150 GE employees. Today, GE employs over nine thousand Asians and Asian Pacific Americans in the United States. The APAF continues to grow with over seventeen different regional hubs spanning all GE businesses.
