The Silk Road

The vast network of trade routes linking the people and traditions of Asia with those of Europe, historically known as “The Silk Road,” is the theme of Fairfield County’s 2nd Annual Asian Pacific American Art Exhibition. The exhibition is curated by Picture That, LLC a fine art consulting firm headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut and sponsored by General Electric Company.

“The Silk Road” will showcase paintings and photography representing the cultures of China, India, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. Each work displays a unique interpretation of the historic routes of “The Silk Road” that transported silk, art, ceramic, crafts, scientific and technological innovations between East and West.

“The Silk Road” will officially open on May 5 and run through June 30.  Works can be viewed online in the GE Online Gallery, the art centerfold of Unity or by appointment at GE's Corporate Headquarters Cultural Fine Art Gallery.  For additional information call 203-977-8203.
