T.H. Gomillion

While teaching and coaching sports in Washington, DC, Gomillion's artistic career took back seat.  From 1989 to the present, Gomillion has quietly, persistently pursued his own vision, never being satisfied to the existence of only one art path for himself. He expresses his art through a variety of media including 3d decoupage, paper mache sculpture, color pencil, watercolor, printmaking and acrylic on canvas and paper. In his work, the gestures and overall attitude rather than detail, are of primary importance to him, he simplifies and stylizes his images.

A Washington DC native, Gomillion was raised in the Philadelphia area. He never thought of himself as an artist while growing up, but he liked drawing most anything.
