Michael L. Parchment
A
graduate of Paier College of Art, Hamden CT, Connecticut Artist
Michael L. Parchment also studied at Jamaica School of Art, Kingston
Jamaica, West Indies.
While at the Jamaica School of Art, and later at Paier, he developed
a unique style of painting (mixed media watercolor on crushed paper)
that makes his Art take on the appearance of ”stained glass”
or ”batik”. But Michael’s style continues to evolve.
His work has evolved onto
canvas using acrylic, colored pencil and pastels. Working on canvas
he continues to create art of vibrant, spontaneous color and interesting
compositions.
His work has been exhibited in galleries in the New Haven and Fairfield
County in Connecticut, and are in private collections throughout
the United States and abroad.
