Manjiree Manolkar

Manjiree was born in the historic city of Pune in western India. She spent most of her childhood in rural Maharashtra. As a child she was was conferred scholarship for her outstanding academic performance for her High School Education by the State Government of Maharashtra. She pursued her higher education in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, the faculty of Alternative Medicine in India having its origin in the ancient health science of 5000 years. In her pursuit to work for the society she was instrumental in setting up a Non-Profit Organization working for deprived children, Snehalaya ( www.snehalaya.org ). She made her career in the prestigious civil services for the State of Maharashtra. She served in Pune district as administrator and magistrate and implemented numerous developmental programs of state government at the grassroots level..

Based on her unique experiences working as a Ayurvedic Doctor, Social worker and an administrator in the world's fastest growing economy she brings out her thoughts and emotions on the canvas with vibrant colors.

Manjiree’s paintings have been exhibited in cities in India and Nepal and now in USA.
