My artwork combines calligraphic marks and pictographic images that explore an intuitive language based on my bicultural background as a second-generation Chinese American. (I was born and raised in the Bronx.) I am influenced by ancient writing systems because of the way they relate to nature. Similarly, it is a way for me to relate to my environment.
