Elton Tucker
Elton
Tucker is a native New Yorker and a multi-medium artist. His vibrant
paintings are full of bold patterns, high energy, movement, and
spiritually.
Elton graduated from the High School of Art & Design and received
his AA degree in Commercial Art from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
He presently studies at the Art Student League of New York. Elton’s
work has been published for various greeting cards, calendars, and
book covers. One of his paintings, Believe In Yourself, appeared
as part of the set design of Whoopi and is now in her private collection.
Elton’s work has won several awards which include The Metropolitan
Transportation Authority and the Artists Fellowship. His work has
also been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows including Taller
Boricua Gallery, UFA Gallery, Savacou Gallery, and Gallery 402 all
in New York City and Clinton Hill Simply Gallery in Brooklyn. Elton’s
work has also appeared in several issues of Gallery & Studio
magazine.
“I see my talent as a gift from the Creator and something
to be cherished and shared with others. I feel my mission is to
produce work people can relate to, get inspiration from, and utilize
in their every day lives.”
Elton also teaches art at the Kennedy Center in Harlem.
